Dubbsville Bud (above) and Malung Morag (below),  Sire and dam of Austalia's  "Famous Four".  Of course, Bud had other offspring with some  other lovely  bitches, but, unfortunately, this was his  only litter produced by Morag; Bud died before the breeding could be repeated.

Aust. Ch. Gayregal Firewater

A Jim Beam son out of Pinjarra Bonnie, "Plonk" became a pillar in the Baylock line.  He was the sire of many Baylock produced champions, including Au. Grand Ch. Coleann Brown Lager and Au. Gr. Ch. Baylock Cleo, among others.

Pedigree Reference Photos

We have assembled here, in no particular order,  pictures of many of the Russells common to the pedigrees of our past and current dogs.  We hope you enjoy them!

We shall begin near the beginning.

While it's true the breed originated in England, Australian breeders must also be given great praise and credit for the development of the breed as we see it today.  Perhaps one of  the most influential of those breeders is Erica Wilkens' Malung Jack Russells of  Victoria, Australia - from her breeding, in 1988, of Dubbsville Bud to Malung Morag came four little  sparks that now light-up the Jack Russell world.

Those pups are now known as the "Famous Four" or "Fabulous Four" and their progeny continue to enhance their legend.  A clear majority of past and current champions and top producing Russells everywhere trace their heritage directly to these four outstanding dogs in the photos below.

Myrmidon, Swynford, Joyreve, Carisbrooke, Baylock, ChumCreek and many other Australian kennels have also been major influences in the development of our little white doggies, and to the official recognition of the breed around the world.

 Aust. Ch. Malung Niniane Swynford

The only girl in Australia's "Famous Four", she was owned by Swynford Kennel.  Like her brothers, she had tremendous impact on the world-wide development of the breed

Aust. Ch. Malung Orinoco

Extremely influential in casting the "breed type" in stone  he was a balanced and substantial dog, owned by Carisbrooke.  Dense in bone, yet quite spannable, and with a magnificent head.

Aust. Ch. Malung Jim Beam

Bred by Erica Wilkens of Malung Jack Russells, owned by  the equally famous Baylock Kennel,  he became the first Australian Champion after the breed was recognized down-under.

Aust. Ch. Malung Laird of Joyreve

At first owned by Joyreve, later by Myrmidon, he was also a cornerstone of  many successful breeding programs through his offspring.
